about
This song is a tribute to Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (1830 - 1886), who lived much of her life in isolation, considered an eccentric by locals, she developed a penchant for white clothing and was known for her reluctance to greet guests or, later in life, to even leave her bedroom.
The lyric is a poem of her, this poem doesn't have a title, in fact, just 10 of her almost 1800 poems have a title.
lyrics
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there's a pair of us!
Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know!
How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one's name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!
(The same text but in greek in the intro)
